![]() For rspace only “sample name, barcodes name, barcode” is mandatory. Right now I just need the complete API call necessary to create a sample with all mandatory fields. If not I don`t think I will find time to do this myself in 2023 (maybe at the end of the year). PS: if someone like to share a connection to a eLabFTW instance, I would provide this tool also for this ELN. I would love to know about a third more of a “regular” solution. The pasting of the link into the ELN document is very tricky, as it can be done either as keystrokes or by using the clipboard but I dislike both solutions. Issues I`m facing right now: The ELN client seems to block the connection to the local webserver (check it out: javascript - What blocks my XHR Request done on a Database GUI Website? - Stack Overflow). paste the link to the current open ELN document get the link to the sample in the rspace inventory system and send it back to the client page.check if the code is already in to database get the link if not the webserver will create an API call (for the rspace inventory system to create a sample into their database).the image will be send to an local hosted webserver to decode the code. ![]() its open the camera and scan the image put in front of it.it creates an additional button to the ELN page.the next steps in sample creation, the scan image from microscope and for sure the data collection to train an AI 5 years after all parts of the original study are done ) So I would like to use the uniqueID created from datamatrix code as the DOI for every other metadata (e.g. I like the idea of using the codes every time someone take the physical slide. So either as a browser extension or a external tool or else? How do you think this kind of a tool should be included? (include this directly into the elab is impossible because it’s a proprietary system). ![]() But why to choose? Just take: “protocolName_userName_timestamp” as the initial sample name and let the user change it afterwards.
